Our Little Rock Star

Jake loves playing his "moosic" on his guitar. We often get treated to a concert after bath time. I think he was singing "Hey, Soul Sister" during this concert. He absolutely loves the song, and that's why it plays on my blog as the #1 song.

Gotta love this face

His idea...not mine. He thought mommy needed to look like a rock star too. He found the props and put them on me. However, I don't think the look is working too well for me. =) Cortney, if you happen to read this post, you may recognize the sunglasses on me. You gave them to me at one of my birthday parties when we were LITTLE. Will found them at my parents' house and thinks they are the coolest!! Who knew??

4th of July

We continued the tradition of going to Batesville to see the fireworks show this year. Will took his friend Miller since most of our friends have children that are around Jake's age.

The guys
The girls had an agreement to never publish any of the photos taken of us that night. We were all in agreement that they were hideous. Chasing kids in July humidity in Arkansas is never a good combination for a good hair day! =)

Will's Trip

Will went to St. Louis with Billy's parents to watch 3 Cardinal games. He absolutely loves the Cardinals, so to say he was excited about this trip is an understatement. In fact, he tried to get us to change our family vacation plans. He said it would be great to go to St. Louis for 8 days and go to a Cardinal game everyday...not my idea of fun though. Anyway, while he was at one of the games, he was filmed. This is a pic of him at the game how he appeared on TV.

Gulf Shores (with the girls)

Each summer a group of my teacher friends try to take a girls' trip. This year we decided to go to Gulf Shores to have a laid back beach vacation. We booked our trip in January...pre-oil spill, and we couldn't decide if we wanted to cancel once the spill happened. We ended up going and I am so glad we did. It is not nearly as bad as the media portrays it to be...at least not what we saw. We shopped til we dropped, ate like it was our last meal, and stayed up until the wee hours of the night laughing like children. I'm really lucky to work with people that are truly my friends. Can't wait to do it again next year!!

Katrina, Me, and Jerri Beth

We saw oil on the day this pic was taken. You can see it in the middle of the pic washing ashore.

This is the stain that the oil leaves behind in the sand.

I had a great time, but I was sure glad to see these guys when I got back!!

Brotherly Love

I took these pics one morning before church. I like them b/c they show Jake's personality. You never really know if he is being nice or mean. Is he hugging Will or trying to choke him??

Two angelic boys!

The End of Kindergarten

Will was very blessed with a wonderful teacher his kindergarten year. She made him feel like the most special little boy and for that I am truly thankful. Teachers can make or break a school year and I am so glad that she made school a place that Will wants to be rather than a place he dreads going to.

Mrs. Miller and Will

Will waiting for the program (Imagination Station) to start

Miller and Will had speaking parts about friendship...so sweet. Will also played the bag pipes in another song, but I got so involved in watching him that I forgot to snap a pic.

Miller, Will, and Jake

Will's artwork was hanging in the cafeteria. He said the the skinny faced one is him and the fat faced one is Jake...not so nice.

T-Ball Season 2010

Will completed his last season in T-ball. Next year he will move up with the big boys to a pitching machine league. He can't wait!! Baseball is his favorite sport right now, but I'm sure it will change when football season rolls around. Then, it will be basketball during basketball season and so on...

This is a T-ball league, but the coach pitches the ball to the player three times. If they don't hit the ball during those pitches, then the player hits the ball off of a tee.
One of Will's favorite things to do is to slide into home plate (when there is no need to do so).

My Baby Is Three!

So, I know this is such a cliche, but seriously...
how does it go from this...

...to this in just 3 short years?!?

God is truly amazing!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
